  • What kind of person subscribes to one of those hoax UFO channels, anyway?

Wonder no longer. This comment from “SuperSurprise,” a Thirdphaseofmoon fan, recently appeared on the Hoaxplosion! YouTube page. Before you attempt to read, it may help to temporarily abandon everything you hold dear about spelling, punctuation, paragraphs, and reason. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

“[UFO Theater is] delusional. Only 851 subs in a channel over 1 1/2 year old ch=Epic failure. Ouch! This guy is very jealous. Period. Fact or Fake, there is about 500-5000 popular of supernatural channels on utube. If every jealous nobody like him decided to launch false flags out of pure jealousy, the false flagger would lose his/her utube ch. Not only that, he know’s nothing about how youtub really works. Those big channels he’s soooo jealous of happen to have an appointed utube account manager. This means,  a real person at the real utube helping them 1 on 1 when they need it. This must burn him up more. It’s a fact, Youtube works with these people when some jealous bitter person comes along and tries to launch an attack on the popular utube channel. It happens often enough. The false attacks can even come in false DMCA attacks on their content. CHannels like 3potm last for a reason. They are great entertianment love then or hate them. Utube is all about entertianment. Sorry mainstream do not find debunking videos entertianing.Do some research. Youtube backs these channels. There would be no utube if jealous bitter failures(There is a ton look at the comments here) came along and tried to get populer channels and trending viral viral vids pulled. It happens 24/7. So many jealous bums out there crying. The have nots like him are very bitter about it.This is just a jealous man talking to his peers of other jealous ufo nuts with failed utube channelsand failed dreams. He is telling people to flag videos for what he does not like on utube. If 1 user flags 3pom videos enough because they are so called fakes to him/her, the user filing the false flags over and over will in fact get his/her utube account terminated for false flagging. Yes, youtube will see the flagging as a false flag for many reasons. It’s entertianment. Get a grip, it’s utube! These channels also have videos in worldwide media which means they have media deals too. Sorry 2 burst your bubble guys. No one important cares accept a handful of ufo nuts with failed utube channels.BTW, for a conpiracy theory.  I have no affiliation with these channels. I just watch and call it like i see it.The only thing he really blew up is his own jealous feelings.I feel bad for the guy. He’s angry about it. You can hear it in his voice. He’s another commercial 4 these big ufo channels. They’ll only grow and become larger with all the free promotion they get from the 100’s of little guys channels being jealous about them on loads of little man utube channels crying and serving as a commercial for them…That’s my rant. Here’s a box of tissues!”

See, folks? UFOlogy has nothing to do with UFOs. It’s “entertianment”!

    You’re just jealous.

  • Hoaxplosion! Thirdphaseofmoon Blows Up

Thirdphaseofmoon steadily craps out crimes against common sense and integrity in the form of YouTube videos. They may occasionally get shared by third-rate news sites looking to boost numbers, but they can’t escape their own mediocrity. We watch, analyze, and turn crap into gold- with FIRE. Enjoy.

  • Speedebunking: Thirdphaseofmoon is Dumb, Thinks You’re Dumber

Sure, I could make a career out of TPOM hoaxes, but I prefer to concentrate on those that get a lot of play. The only authentic-seeming aspect of this clip, titled New Stealth TR-3B!! UFO Sightings ET Craft Or Military Florida Coast is the ambient sound, which gives a good impression of a woman squealing in wonder on a windy day. Blake’s intro focuses on the supposed videographer’s shaky camera work, so right off the bat I knew what to focus on. Of course, it paid off.

A redditor mentioned that I may be inadvertently teaching hoaxers how to make better product. There are two reasons I believe this is not cause for concern: first, because of the time constraint built in to the Speedebunking format, I always hold a little something back. Second, if these people were smart or talented enough to learn from their mistakes, they’d actually be working on legit shows instead of making worthless crap for Youtube. I’m pretty comfortable that hoaxers won’t be able to create clips that can’t be blown up.

  • Hoaxers’ Unlikely Ally: Copyright Fear

deletedI’m currently engaged in a chess match with UFO hoaxers, who appear to be displeased with the way they’re being portrayed by UFO Theater. In order to keep their handiwork from being debunked, they’ve used the only means available to them: claim copyright infringement. In doing so, they’re activating video host’s reflexive response to have the video removed while the dispute is resolved. They’ve pursued the issue with Youtube and Vimeo.

It’s difficult to predict what either Youtube or Vimeo will do with the claims, which I’ve rebutted by explaining how inclusion of the hoaxer’s video is Fair Use, for purposes of education, criticism, and parody. These services have no obligation to rely on U.S. copyright law, and can follow their own rules. Secureteam 10 made a copyright complaint that I was able to see from channel creator Tyler Glockner, in which he asserted I simply re-uploaded his entire video. What? I’m not sure how that can be allowed to stand, being that it’s patently false, and the fact that most of the video was footage from the International Space Station feed (NASA footage is public domain) to which he added a flying saucer. A day later the entire UFO Theater channel and account was taken down without notice, citing “multiple copyright violations” without providing me with the additional complaints or who made them. I’ve been judged guilty and sentenced without having the charges explained, the benefit of a trial, or being able to face my accuser(s).

The upside is that as far as I can determine, UFO Theater has had some influence, since hoaxers have decided it’s worth having removed. Thirdphaseofmoon in particular has been much more careful about their hoaxes, moving from visual effects (computer generated imagery) to practical effects (photographing and videotaping actual physical objects) and misrepresenting the result. A good example of this is their “Cigar Shaped UFO Over Napa” that looks like it may be a real object, but they hide all context by only providing three seconds of video, zoomed in and heavily filtered. They spend most of the time polishing their turd with an “interview” with the person who supposedly shot the video.

Based on conversations with several people who have more Youtube experience, the video should be reinstated to that platform, but with the odd deletion of the account with no justification, it’s hard to say. It also may be possible that if videos are reinstated to either platform, the hoaxers may have the ability to simply submit a chain of complaints, one after the other, that keep UFO Theater in permanent limbo. Obviously based on my limited experience, I don’t have much faith in either Youtube or Vimeo. I’ll be exploring yet more third party solutions, but may end up finding a way to run the video off my own server.

If nothing else, this has all provided a lot of creative inspiration for some new videos that will hit the hoaxers even harder, and provide a lot of entertainment. Stay tuned.

  • No, Edward Snowden DID NOT Reveal Anything About UFOs

I can’t believe I even have to say this, you guys, but there are so many opportunistic douchebags out there using NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden’s name as clickbait (thirdphaseofmoon, The Cosmos News, ADG, and others) that someone has to spell it out. There is not one shred of evidence, not one, to support the idea that any such info was released… unless you believe the Iranian FARS news agency which also reported more Americans would vote for Mahmoud Ahmadinejad than Barack Obama.

In the case of thirdphaseofmoon, it’s just become another one of the interchangeable, meaningless buzzwords they use to drive traffic, along with “incredible footage”, “breaking”, “smoking gun”, and “special report.”

The Cosmos News, with its overuse of graphics and creepy robot voice, went so far as to totally fabricate a story they claim was reported on the site The Intercept regarding UFO photos. Continue reading  Post ID 444

  • Drama Queen UFO Documentarian is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things

The fake UFO channel everybody loves to hate, thirdphaseofmoon (which I won’t link to, because seriously) recently posted an interview with UFO documentarian Michael Horn who, according to producer Blake, was “back by poplar demand,” which I assume to mean the very trees cried out for more of him.

Horn is “the North American Publicist for the alleged UFO Contactee, Eduard Albert ‘Billy’ Meier.” If you’re not familiar with Meier, look him up. I’m not going down that bottomless rabbit hole. And “North American”? Does that mean there’s a South American, European and African publicist as well? Has Billy become MeierCorp International?

The way these appearances work is somebody comes on to promote their product, in this case Michael Horn’s documentary And Did They Listen?, a title which already sounds like it’s scolding somebody, and thirdphaseofmoon gets free content (5 commercial breaks! Cha-ching!). As is the custom with TPM interviews, the guest is never challenged on any of their assertions. To say they lob softball questions is demeaning to softballs. It has to be that way, or nobody will appear on your channel unless you’re Joe Rogan, who can get actual celebrities on his show.

The best way to describe Horn’s mood is outrage. He has been wronged. He has attempted to have a screening of his film at Arizona State University, and has been rebuffed. In his own words: Continue reading  Post ID 444
